How can we balance the budget?
There are several strategies to cut spending and would allow us to start reducing the national debt. One example would be that we are paying farmers for food that goes bad, because they are unable to find buyers. At the same time we are paying for food to supply food banks, churches and other organizations to assist those with food insecurities. Why can't farmers supply those organizations when they have excess products and get reimbursed for those donations instead of getting paid for throwing the products out.
How can we still help other countries with aid, while making sure corrupt governments don't keep the money while their citizens continue to suffer starving, facing drought, needing medical care.
It is not Americas responsibility to care for other countries people. However, we can't allow people to suffer and die when it can be avoided. Let's provide food. water and medicine directly to the people who need it at extremely lower cost. Let's teach them skills like hydroponics to still grow with less water. Let's assist with needed infrastructure, not billions of dollars that often results in no progress. Let's help other governments realize alternate policies that can result in more effective outcomes. If no changes are made the outcome will remain the same.
How will Patti Hale-Ashe represent district 23 to make our financial situation better?
Patti Hale-Ashe knows what it is like to live in poverty to struggle to make sure things get paid. I have gone to food pantries that gave spoiled food. I have worked 2 full time jobs and a part time job, while taking 21 credit hours in college. I have saved and built my credit to purchase a home and moved into middle class. The American dream does exist but is harder to obtain for hard working citizens. I will ensure that our major industries oil, energy, farming, etc. are protected and I will work to attract industries that will provide more jobs that pay an equitable salary.
How will Patti Hale-Ashe help secure a better future for district 23.
Every world superpower has gone through rapid industrial development, but looking forward the future is based on rapid financial, environmental and technological changes. we need to ensure we have college, vocational training and other ways for our citizens to gain knowledge in these fields. ensuring these programs are available and accessible to all of district 23. We need to stay at the front of the rest of our world to keep from falling into a depression, to maintain the US dollar as a valued currency on the world political economy and not lose our position of influence on the world stage.
How can Patti Hale-Ashe help make our economy more affordable?
The wages in Texas are among the lowest in the country. As costs have sharply risen every year, wages have not increased. It is time, the Texas minimum wage be reviewed for a fair and equitable increase. This will relieve some pressure from the inflation we are experiencing. Protecting our industries and bringing more jobs to our communities.
